A brief recap of the previous episode
In the opening of the most recent episode of Battle Through The Heavens Season 5, we see that everyone is hard at work getting ready for the event. With nearly every sect servant moving some sort of food from one part of the mansion to another.
Yan Chen appears before the Sect Leader, who informs him that, as of today. He is a member of the Yunlan Sect and the future of this magnificent Sect depends on no one else but him. But Yan Chen believes he shouldn’t because the Sect Master was a master of Dou Zong and is responsible for the Sect’s ultimate joy.

Meanwhile, he predicts further growth and success for the Yunlan Sect’s Master. Sect Leader then rises and walks up to him, telling him that Xiao Yan was in frequent communication with Yuner. That is how he learned about the marriage’s arrangement and why he fears for his safety today.
Yan Chen, however, insists that he would show no mercy to whoever damaged his union with Yun Yun. And so, after the wedding, he asks the Sect Leader to break the seal on Yuner’s body so that he can take her out for a stroll.
He adds that the Sect Leader just wants what’s best for her and that she’ll see that if she’s open-minded enough. Since he is responsible for Yuner’s upbringing. The Sect Leader says he will naturally comply with this request so that she may find happiness.
