A brief recap of the previous chapter
In the previous chapter of Infinite Mage, to clarify, the professor despises both the former members of the group and the group’s name. Therefore, she must rescue Shirone from certain doom by extracting him from that set.
The other teacher shouldn’t even listen to her worries. They’re crazy, and she needs to be stopped before she causes trouble among the pupils for no good reason. The professor, though, seemed to be overreacting. Comedic misadventures, meaningful character growth, and maybe even a backstory explaining why this is so significant to her should all be on display as she tries to put a stop to them.

Clearly, Professor Siena has her reasons for discouraging Shirone’s membership in the Science of Supernatural Spirit organization. She wants Shirone out of that club for two reasons, both of which we believe to be valid.
The first reason must be that she has been in that group previously and realizes that Shirone’s membership will bring him nothing but trouble. This makes sense, given she may know firsthand what it’s like to be a member of that exclusive group.
