A brief recap of the previous episode
In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6, titled “It’s Like That,” we witness the return of the trio consisting of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara. They are joined by a former classmate of Yuji’s who has undergone a significant transformation in appearance. Yuko approaches Nobara to discuss her feelings for Yuji, leading to a plan involving Fushiguro to help Yuko confess.
However, as Yuji and Yuko finally meet, Yuji recognizes her despite the drastic change in her appearance. Nobara had worried that the transformation might hinder their connection, but the meeting ends with Yuko unable to confess her feelings.
Elsewhere, Todo and Mei Mei propose the promotion of the trio, along with Maki and Panda, to Grade 1 status. However, Todo experienced disappointment upon learning that he wouldn’t be able to go on missions with Yuji, as he had recommended Yuji for promotion.
Meanwhile, Gojo and Utahime suspect the presence of a mole in the Kyoto region leaking information to the curse users. The trio suspects Mechamaru of being the mole and undertakes the task of investigating the room where Mechamaru’s real body, Kokichi Muta, should be.
To their surprise, they find the room empty, confirming their suspicions.
However, Kokichi Muta’s real body is elsewhere, and he encounters Mahito and Geto. They reveal that they’ve made a pact to heal Muta’s body in exchange for information, despite Mahito’s initial desire to kill him. Muta’s body is healed, and a fight breaks out.
