A brief recap of the previous chapter

Once again, several incidents in One Piece Episode 1078 are shown as flashbacks throughout the episode, and the method in which they are put gives a strong emotional dimension to the program. The episode opens with the straw hats questioning Yamato’s willingness to fight after learning that he is Kaido’s son.
The New Shogun
In spite of this, Yamato assures them he is not an adversary. Instead, he is an ally who will join their crew permanently once this is over. No one who disagrees with her is surprised by this, and Jimbei insists they check with Luffy to be sure.
Meanwhile, in the Flower capital, the Akazay Nine emerge from the sands to proclaim the end of the reign of terror by Kaido and the arrival of the new Shogun of Wano. When Momonsuke is introduced from out of the dust, everyone bows down to hear that the country is embarking on a new course, with new regulations and greater freedom for its citizens.
Otama sobs upon learning that the Kozuki family has returned, as the news brings back painful memories. It was the episode’s high point, even surpassing Momononsuke’s resolve and speech. Then, after introducing himself, Momonosuke says he’ll bring a new day to Wano.
