Published:

Tudum! One of the most popular Netflix series Squid Game The Challenge is going to be release very soon. The popular and deadly Squid Game competition is coming back in Season 2. It features 456 desperate contestants playing children’s games for a huge cash prize, but losing has deadly consequences. Netflix announced the return of some Season 1 contestants and revealed the new cast members for Season 2.

Squid Game The Challenge Plot

A teaser video for season two shows the giant killer robot doll from the previous series. The video has the number two in its eye, and the robot’s famous song plays in the background.

Dong-hyuk posted a message with the video. He explained that it took 12 years to make Squid Game, but only 12 days for it to become popular.

The post on the series’ social media platforms teased the return of familiar characters like Seong Gi-hun and The Front Man.

Gi-Hun, the only survivor, is expected to come back.

The phrase “the man in the suit with ddakji” refers to Gong Yoo, a Korean actor from Train To Busan. He may return to attract more people to the deadly game.

Lee Jung-jae, who plays Gi-Hun, confirmed that Lee Byung-hun, who plays the Front Man, will have a bigger role in season 2. Revenge will be the main plot, with them being the central figures.

At the end of season one, Gi-hun and Cho Sang-woo are the last two in the competition. Gi-hun wins, but Sang-woo takes his own life.

The Front Man explains to Gi-hun that Squid Game is entertainment for the rich. Gi-hun is dropped off in an unknown location and goes home to see his mother.

A year later, Gi-hun receives a rose with a black, pink ribbon-wrapped envelope. It says: ‘December 24. 11:30 p.m. Sky building, 7th floor. From your gganbu.’ Gi-hun believes Player 001 is gganbu, whom he thought he had killed.

In an interview, Dong-hyuk said he’s working on ideas for the next season and mentioned there will be more great games.

When asked if some cast members could return, he joked about bringing them back and mentioned the possibility of a twin sister for Kang Sae-byeok’s character.
