Hulu is all set to release a supernatural horror film on their platform named, ‘The boogeyman’. The movie is based on a short story named, ‘The Boogeyman’ in 1973 by Stephen King. Rob Savage has directed the film, whereas Scott Beck, Bryan Woods and Mark Heyman have provided the screenplay. Initially the movie was announced in 2018, but because Disney acquired Fox, it was delayed to 2021. In February 2022, the principal photography took place in New Orleans, whereas the film was actually planned to be released on Hulu in 2023. Plot of the series
The story of the movie is based on a supernatural creature, which becomes the cause of many deaths. There is a Harper family, which consists of a therapist father, sister Sadie and Sawyer. The Harper family is in a deep shock because of the loss of their mother in a fatal car accident. Father i.e. Will Harper is visited by a man, who is struggling with his mental situation because he lost his 3 children. All of them died because of an evil creature that has been latched onto his family. Will doesn’t believe that man and makes a call to the police. In the meantime, the disturbed man slips away. However, Sadie, Will’s daughter finds that man’s body in her mother’s art closet. From here the actual story begins, which is horror, thrilling and suspenseful.

The Boogeyman Box Office Collection
They initially released the movie in the United States and Canada, where it collected around 43 million dollars by 1 August 2023. Including other places worldwide The Boogeyman grossed around 82 million dollars.
They released The Boogeyman alongside Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse and it still collected 12 million dollars in the first week. The Boogeyman finished 3rd after Spider man: across the spider verse and The Little Mermaid in terms of collection.
