God Of War Ragnarök Sales and market performance
God Of War Ragnarök performed very well in the market they had 29,377 physical copies sold during the first week of release in Japan. Making it the third best-selling retail game with 11,260 physical copies sold. The PlayStation 4 edition was the sixth-best-selling retail game in the nation during the same week.
Exact sales figures were not disclosed. Ragnarök reportedly sold more physical copies on its first day than any other God of War game did in its first week in the UK. With 82% of the total being sold on the PS5 and 18% on the PS4. Here we are not even talking about Microsoft Windows sales because as we all know God of War Ragnarök is not realized on those platforms. God Of War so far is the only title that was able to increase its sales after every New Launch.
Ragnarök Awards
The game won the Most Wanted Game prize at the 2020 Golden Joystick Awards. It also won the PlayStation. Blog Most Anticipated Game prize in the same year. At The Game Awards in 2020 and 2021, it was also a contender for Most Anticipated Game.
