A brief recap of the previous chapter
In the previous Kagurabachi chapter 6, “Tranquil,” a bunch of sorcerers who appear exactly alike ambush Chihiro and Char. One of them tells Chihiro that Genichi Sojo has advertised for their capture, offering incentives to whoever can steal the magical katana and find the small girl.
It also depicts Hinao learning of Genichi Sojo’s notice and worrying that all the sorcerers in Tokyo will hunt for Chihiro and Char in pursuit of the reward. So, she gives the main character with the dark hair a call, but he doesn’t answer. Chihiro wields “Black” on the battlefield to make quick work of his foes. But to his astonishment, they survived the cuts.
Dirt Manipulation
After more investigation in Kagurbachi Chapter 6, Chihiro discovers that his adversaries were using dirt to create identical copies of themselves. An adversary recalls his encounter with a Mystic Katana from long ago, where he experienced the weapon’s full might. The panel then transitions to a wartime scenario.
Chihiro learns from the enigmatic sorcerer about the incredible strength of the charmed swords that finally put an end to the fighting. He was relieved that Chihiro was too “inexperienced” to use its full potential, which resulted in the protagonist being overwhelmed by the horde of clones.
Nishiki in action
Then, we hear a fascinating urban legend about the Kyounagi: if you eat the meat of a Kyounagi, you will live forever. There’s some doubt among the sorcerers as to whether Genichi Sojo actually desires Char for this reason.
They utter oaths of damnation over the tiny girl’s blood, describing her as “far from peace.” The sorcerers were about to touch Char when Chihiro regained his composure and warned them not to. Spoilers for Chapter 6 of Kagurabachi depict Chihiro losing control and slaying hordes of sorcerers with the Nishiki of his blade.
