Netflix is all set to release an upcoming Japanese manga based anime series, named ‘Pluto’. Naoki Urasawa has written the manga named, ‘Pluto’ and now after years, its first adaptation will take place. September 2003 to April 2009 is the time between which the manga was published divided into 8 tankobon volumes. Astro Boy or more precisely called, ‘greatest Robot on Earth’ is the character in the series, around which the story is built. Along with Naoki, Takashi Nagasaki has written the manga. 26 October 2023 is Pluto anime release date on Netflix. Netflix released the official teaser of the anime on their platform and youtube on 2 July 2023. More than 699k people on YouTube alone have watched the teaser of the anime. However, looking at the popularity of the manga the expectations of it to reach an even higher audience is high.

Plot of the Anime

A Europol detective named Gesicht, tries to solve the mysterious murders happening in human and robot society. One common thing is found in all the murders, which is objects shoved inside victims’ heads making it look like a horn. Things get more tangled and confusing when it comes to knowing that a robot is behind all the murders. This is mind boggling as, in 8 years, this is the first time when a robot killed a human. Also, humans that are preserving the National Robots Law and all 7 great robots of the world are on the target of the killer. 

This is Netflix’s brief introduction about the anime: When the world’s seven most advanced robots and their human allies are murdered one by one, inspector Gesicht soon discovers that he’s also in danger’.
