Netflix is all set to release an American short film starring Benedict Cumberbatch named, ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar’. This movie is based on the short story by Roald Dahl named, ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More’. The movie was already shown on 1st September 2023, during the 80th Venice International Film Festival. Wes Anderson has directed and also provided the screenplay of the film. Three producers are involved in this movie and they are, Wes Anderson, Steven Rales and Jeremy Dawson. Also, this is Roald Dahl’s writing’s second movie adaptation after Fantastic Mr. Fox. On 20th September 2023, the movie will release in very limited theatres, however the main release will be on Netflix.

Plot of the movie
There are lots of ups and downs in the story of ‘The wonderful story of Henry Sugar’. Henry Sugar, who is a wealthy man, once came to know about power, which can make him ultra rich. At a doctor’s place, he came across the file of an Indian man, who claims to see without eyes, and Henry could see the potential behind the power. After spending 3 years in perfectioning meditation, Henry is now able to foresee the future and see through things. He uses it in the gambling and earns a lot of money. But, with everything happening so easily, he misses out the fun he used to have. He decides to put his money to some good works and therefore tries to open orphanages in the world. But, how can a story go smoothly? He finds himself in trouble with casino owners, it would be interesting to watch, will Henry be able to fulfil his desire.
